This spring’s heavy downpours have put the drainage system to the test and it continues to meet the challenge.   Several times the storms have brought an added surprise!

Our baby ducks of all kinds  are growing rapidly and there are two more nests of Mallard eggs being hatched on the lake.  The fenced in area on the lake is to try and keep the mothers and there young out of open water. Until they have reached a safer size.  The co-habitants of the lake –large mouth bass, snakes, turtles– have been far too enthusiastic about their hatchings.  If you haven’t visited the lake recently, grab a bag of fish food from the vending machine in the lodge and see what surprises await.
