It is not very often that I am lost for words, but what we experienced to make the Open House go as well as it did, has left me speechless. There were weeks of planning and organizing involving many in doing the advertising, cleaning, coupons, decorating, food, gardens, give-a-ways, painting and I’m sure I have overlooked something.

It all proved to pay off, when Saturday went without a hitch.  Everyone turned out in force in their tenth anniversary tee shirts.  As usual at BHHP everyone seemed to know just what to do and made sure that everything was covered.

Having K96 here was fun and a great experience to be a part of.  It amazed me at how simple it seemed to be to set up for a live broadcast and then to talk and hear yourself on the radio at the same time.  Mike was great with his commentaries and in interviewing everyone; he made you feel right at ease.

When I saw those 30 plus desserts lined up on the table it

showed the true extent of the effort that had been put in.

I thought there was no way they would all get eaten but they

did. I’ve heard nothing but good comments about the information

the greeters and golf cart guides gave to the potential BHHPers.

The proof is in the fact that we already have 5 new Seasonals

and still more looking a second time.  Jo Tompkin was able to sell

her unit to her delight.  There are at least 40 more families out

there who now know what BHHP is about.

When I asked Sharon what stuck out the most for her about the

Open House, she said “that how so many (over 30%) of you

helped make it happen and where else but BHHP would you

get that kind of participation”.  She’s right and for me it gave me

a tremendous sense of pride to be a part of such a great caring

and loving community.  Even those who were not involved

directly, were tremendous in their moral support and in tidying

up their gardens and sites.  Their hands must have gotten tired waving as the numerous golf carts went by.

Those two little words thank you don’t seem to be

enough, yet says it all.  Thank you one and all for

everything you did you are all absolutely the best and

we only hope we can honor your commitment by

keeping BHHP the place you are making it.      Tim
