What a great weekend!  The weather cooperated with only a couple of showers dampening the park and not our spirits.  It was a time to celebrate with family and friends.  Below, there was a crowd for the Electric Slide.

To the left Bocce players face off.  The courts were well used but not just with tournament play.  It’s a fun game without being strenuous.  Anyone can play, anytime.  Maybe I’ll see you out there for a game soon.    Jim Wolfe is maintaining the Bocce courts and is in the process of redesigning the  croquet court.  I’m looking forward to playing.  The last time I played croquet was in 1965 in my great aunt Mamie’s lilac bordered backyard.  Ah, those were the days.

Jan Haag lead us in  a solemn  ceremony to honor all freedom fighters.  Patriotic songs were sung before the wreath was placed on the flagpole.  Mel & Jan organized the LifeShare Blood Drive which was a huge success.  We were able to donate 19 pints to save 36 lives!

There’s something fishy going on at the lake.  It grabbed the kids attention.  Tim said there were hooks being pulled out of fish, clothing  -  you name it.  Ah, and after a long weekend of visiting, eating, dancing and singing  -  Sun Dee had to lie down and take a breather.
