Our dumpster at the exit is emptied Monday morning & Friday morning. For those of you in the park during the week, we would appreciate leaving your trash in the dumpster on Friday morning before it is dumped at about 10 am. Hopefully this will help with the overflowing dumpster for Monday morning. Thanks! We put out a nice Rubbermaid shed at the exit for can recycling and BFI mistook it for trash. OOPS! |

You may have heard about the case of the missing (stolen) wood rack. Well Sherlock solved the problem once again, it was removed by an employee and placed on another site. He should have known better. Whatever processed him I have no idea. |

Just yesterday morning we got a call from one of our Seasonals who wanted to let us know what a beautiful park we have and BHHP is truly their “Home Away From Home”. They had been to visit friends at another campground and described it as a “trashy trailer park”. Tim and I both want to thank everyone for their comments on how good the park looks. Since we opened this spring we have had so many compliments and we do agree with you this is an outstanding park with so many fine aspects. We showed someone the Park who hadn’t seen it since we have owned it and they couldn’t believe it was the same place. The changes (and that’s only what he could see) were amazing, it was like day and night. He remember ditches with mosquitoes, dilapidated filthy units, overhead wiring, leaves still on the ground in June, C & D area so dark you almost had to have your lights on in the day and damp, no grass south of the line from the lake to B area just dirt and rotting leaves, no aeration in the ponds, smelly sewer plant (not maintained properly) and the list went on. It was a great reminder of how far we have come. There are only 4 still here from those days, Sharon, Haags, Feists & Richlins, and the 2 latter have their units for sale. Who will be here in 10 years? Due to the overwhelming success of the open house we won’t be doing it again this year as we only have a couple of sites left. If this keeps up we’ll soon be able to start renovating again. Oh no, that’s right, you need employees for that!! |
