Speed Bumps

I absolutely hate them but I love our kids more.

It is such a shame that because of a few

inconsiderate people we all must pay the price.

Already we have been asked by many if we

could do something so now we have. This will

also slow done the golf carts.

Horse care

Last weekend there was no horse riding due to the fact that we had had the horse hooves trimmed and it had been to long since the last time we had done it which causes tender soles and thus makes them susceptible to stone bruising. We will need to be a little careful with them for a few weeks.

Instead we did some of the other things that go along with horses like equipment and tack room cleaning, some intense grooming, tail washing and general horse care. We also did some lessons on mounting and dismounting.

I have to take my hat off to the kids. Even though they knew they wouldn’t be riding they still got up and were at the barn by 8am. That showed true commitment and real responsibility and maturity to the horse program.

Now it is my turn to say THANK YOU to them as this show of commitment is my true reward for providing the horses.
