Our thanks to all who took the effort to comply with the items listed in last weeks newsletter with regards to Spring Cleanup. Your efforts keep BHHP looking as nice as you expect it to be. When mowing you get to see everything. Burying your water lines where possible makes mowing much easier and is appreciated. There are copies of the rules and site layout in the lodge.
Here are a few issues that will help to keep BHHP beautiful. · Place your sheds & wood racks to the off side or rear of unit ( not on patio side) I’ve marked where to put it. · Place your lawn ornaments 6” in from grass edges. · Do not attach anything to our trees or hang feeders from them. We have seen branches die because of them. · Please don’t burn or put trash in your fire rings. 1. It stinks when you burn it. 2. We end up blowing it out with the lawn mowers and have to clean it up. · If your tarp is missing it is in the shed at the office · Please do not park on vacant or neighbors site, use the designated parking areas. There are enough gravel areas to park when it is wet.
· Tell your visitors to slow down please. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated by all! |

Straight from the Horse’s mouth
Wow what a fun filled active weekend. We almost felt like Tuesday should have been our Saturday but no such luck with 3” of grass growth to mow and a whole drop box full of requests etc to sort out our day was filled.. But there was still time for Lisa and I to take ‘Miss Tidy’, ‘the Dixie Chick’ and Susie for a ride at 7pm. It was quite pleasant despite the heat.
The horses are really starting to earn their keep by allowing us time to escape the pressures of today's hectic world and be a part with nature for a few moments. What tremendous memories we are getting each time we ride, overcoming little milestones along the way. Alina, Michael, Michele all achieved small jumps over creeks and Erin has gone 2 weekends staying on the horse and having a lot of fun keeping us entertained on the trails. With more adults getting involved it is great. Suzie will be working with the minis to help guide the kids.
We need to raise more money for the horses so we will have the cans recycled to help with the program. This should really instill some enthusiasm in the kids collecting them. In fact, riding privileges will be given to those turning up with cans. |
