Fall 2006 officially begins on Saturday, September 23rd, at 12:03  a.m. but we still have 4 weeks of fun left in our season.  This Saturday is our Thanksgiving Potluck followed by Special Bingo.  September 30th is Pork with Dumplings and whatever other surprises are found in the freezer to fix.  October 6th is our Halloween Happenings that you won’t want to miss, regardless of your age.  Our final weekend features the best chili in the area and the park officially closes at 6:00 pm on Sunday.  Cooler weather makes it great for campfires and walks in the beautiful fall scenery we have, and don’t forget fishing or golf.  Grab your jacket & enjoy!

Carmen’s Pretzel Dip is the best!

8 oz. cream cheese

16 oz. sour cream

1 Pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch Dip

8 oz. shredded Cheddar Cheese

Mix cream cheese and sour cream.  Add Ranch Dip and cheese.  Mix well, serve chilled with pretzels.

 

Raspberry Jello/Pretzel Dessert

1 c. crushed pretzels            8 oz. Cool Whip

3 T. brown sugar              1 c. powdered sugar

1 c. chopped pecans           1 lg. box raspberry Jello

1 stick butter                 2 c. boiling water

8 oz. cream cheese                16 oz. pkg. frozen raspberries

Melt butter and mix with crushed pretzels, pecans, sugar.  Press into bottom of 9x13 pan.  Bake 8-10 min. at 350.  Cool.  Beat cream cheese, Cool Whip and powdered sugar.  Spread over pretzels.  Refrigerate 30 min. Dissolve Jello in water. Add frozen berries, stir until Jello thickens or berries melt.  Pour over cream cheese later.  Refrigerate 2 hrs. before serving.

BHHP Ohio Lottery Members,

For those of you that want to continue in the lottery your money must be in by September 29th. If your money is not in by that date you are out and the next on the list is in.  We will have the "instant party" on Friday September 30th. They will be the MILLION DOLLAR instants just like the last time. I will let you know how much we can spend next week. Lets shoot for 7:30. Bring your favorite beverage!
